RAMSI an important partnership for S.I

While other political party might preached against Regional Assistant Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI), SIDP Deputy Leader reaffirmed that RAMSI is an important partnership for Solomon Islands.

SIDP Deputy Leader and Caretaker Minister for Education and Human Resources Development, Mr. Matthew Wale said at the launching of the Party’s Platform in Honiara yesterday, when he deliver their party overview.

Mr. Wale said RAMSI is just us important to Solomon Islands progress and stability.

He said SIDP can be trusted to work in partnership with RAMSI and maintain an open dialogue to solve any issues.

“SIDP can be trusted with RAMSI,” Mr. Wale reassured the supporters of the Party yesterday.

Since RAMSI arrived in Honiara in July 2003, much has been achieved through the close cooperation between the Solomon Islands Government and RAMSI.

Law and order has been restored, national institutions are being rebuilt and considerable progress has been made towards stabilizing and reforming the economy.

Mr. Wale stated that, our relationship with RAMSI is based on mutual respect, understanding and open dialogue.

“There are issues and challenges ahead which need sensible approach and SIDP can be fully trusted in dealing with these issues and challenges,” Mr. Wale said.

RAMSI is one of SIDP policy and it is confident that RAMSI will still remain in the country for the betterment of the people.
